Please read these terms carefully before using our services

ShipDem Express

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using any service provided by ShipDem Express, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.

2. Scope of Services

ShipDem Express provides courier and logistics services including but not limited to:

  • Shipping services from the USA to Jamaica

  • Package handling, warehousing, and logistics coordination

  • Pickup location at the Lucea Police Headquarters

  • Round-town pickup and delivery services within Lucea

  • Workplace delivery services for customer convenience

  • Customer rewards and referral incentive program

  • Delivery facilitated through third-party courier partners where necessary

ShipDem Express reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.

3. Shipping Schedule

Shipping schedules are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs processing, carrier schedules, inspections, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.

4. Service Areas

ShipDem Express currently provides:

  • Pickup at Lucea Police Headquarters

  • Round-town delivery and pickup within Lucea

  • Workplace delivery services where applicable

Delivery outside these areas may be arranged through third-party couriers at the customer’s expense.

5. Responsibility, Risk & Liability

All shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.

ShipDem Express assumes limited liability for loss, damage, delay, or errors related to shipments.

Responsibility begins once packages are received by our warehouse or team and ends upon delivery, pickup, or transfer to third-party carriers.

ShipDem Express is not responsible for:

  • Vendor or supplier errors

  • Incorrect information provided by customers

  • Packages lost before reaching our possession

  • Delays, losses, or damages caused by third-party carriers

6. Packaging & Fragile Items

ShipDem Express is not responsible for damage caused by insufficient packaging by vendors, senders, or customers.

Fragile items such as electronics, glassware, liquids, cosmetics, or breakable goods are shipped entirely at the owner’s risk.

7. Prohibited & Restricted Items

Customers must ensure shipments comply with Jamaican laws and international shipping regulations.

Prohibited items include but are not limited to:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Explosives, hazardous, or flammable materials

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Pornographic or obscene materials

  • Perishable foods without approval

  • Live animals

  • Cash, cheques, or negotiable instruments

Any prohibited item may be confiscated or surrendered to authorities without refund. ShipDem Express assumes no liability for seizures, fines, or penalties.

8. Customs, Duties & Fees

Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, clearance charges, and government fees where applicable.

ShipDem Express assumes no liability for customs delays, inspections, or seizures.

9. Rewards & Referral Program

ShipDem Express offers a customer rewards program and referral incentives.

Rewards:

  • Are subject to qualification criteria

  • May be issued as service credit or promotional benefit

  • May be modified or discontinued at company discretion

10. Payments

Accepted payment methods may include cash, bank transfer, or approved digital payment options.

Payments must be settled before package release or delivery unless otherwise agreed. Payments are generally non-refundable once shipment processing begins.

11. Claims & Complaints

All claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of package notification or delivery.

Supporting documentation such as invoices, receipts, or photographs may be required.

Informal messages via WhatsApp or social media do not constitute official claims unless acknowledged by the company.

12. Storage & Uncollected Packages

Packages not collected within 10 days of notification may incur storage fees.

Packages uncollected after an extended period may be donated, auctioned, returned, or disposed of to recover storage and administrative costs. Customers remain responsible for outstanding balances.

13. Cancellations

Cancellation requests should be made prior to scheduled service where applicable. Fees may apply depending on service preparation already completed.

ShipDem Express reserves the right to cancel services when necessary.

14. Amendments

ShipDem Express reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between ShipDem Express and its customers regarding services provided.
